Colin Whitehouse Director
Colin Whitehouse is
a service transformation and efficiency specialist and former Senior Government Advisor to the Department for Communities
and Local Government (DCLG). At DCLG he chaired the National eProcurement (NePP), Multi-Agency Environments (FAME) and
National Process Improvement (NPIP) and Transformational Planning Projects and was a member of the National Procurement Strategy
Steering Group.
Colin began work in the IT industry and quickly moved onto lecturing on a wide range of business
related IT topics. Moving to the public sector led to him gaining significant experience within a Local Authority before joining
the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister in 2003 as part of the eGovernment team. His central government work also led him
to design programmes for the Cabinet Office, the Department of Trade and Industry and the Department of Work and Pensions.
Colin is in demand nationally and internationally as a conference host, facilitator and speaker, presenting as a keynote speaker
at international conferences held in such countries as Lithuania, Italy, Finland, Denmark and Ireland. He has worked on behalf
of the United Nations with the governments of Macedonia and Lesotho on their modernisation programmes and advised the
National Audit Office of the government of Estonia on their transformational government strategy.
Colin specialises
in helping Local Authorities, other public sector bodies and public sector service suppliers to work together more effectively
to transform public service delivery and deliver efficiency savings.
